Allows us to see how our data varies. It tells us what percent of the data are between particular values.
To create this kind of graph put your data values in order from least to greatest. Then find the median of this data.
Then take the median of the lower half. This is called the lower quartile. Then find the median of the upper half this is called the upper quartile.
