How do you compare fractions decimals, and percents?
To compare fractions decimals and percents put all of these numbers in the same format and compare them.
There are certain conversions that you should already have memorized.

For example:
$\[\frac{1}{2} = 0.50 = 50\% \]$

$\[\frac{1}{3} \approx 0.333 \approx 33.3\% \]$

$\[\frac{2}{3} \approx 0.666 \approx 66.6\% \]$

$\[\frac{1}{4} = 0.25 = 25\% \]$

$\[\frac{2}{4} = 0.50 = 50\% \]$

$\[\frac{3}{4} = 0.75 = 75\% \]$


$\[\frac{4}{4} = 1.00 = 100\% \]$

$\[\frac{5}{4} = 1.25 = 125\% \]$

$\[\frac{6}{4} = 1.50 = 150\% \]$

$\[\frac{1}{5} = 0.20 = 20\% \]$

$\[\frac{2}{5} = 0.40 = 40\% \]$

$\[\frac{3}{5} = 0.60 = 60\% \]$

$\[\frac{4}{5} = 0.80 = 80\% \]$

$\[\frac{5}{5} = 1.00 = 100\% \]$

$\[\frac{6}{5} = 1.20 = 120\% \]$

$\[\frac{1}{8} = 0.125 = 12.5\% \]$

$\[\frac{2}{8} = 0.250 = 25\% \]$

$\[\frac{3}{8} = 0.375 = 37.5\% \]$

$\[\frac{4}{8} = 0.500 = 50\% \]$

$\[\frac{5}{8} = 0.625 = 62.5\% \]$

$\[\frac{6}{8} = 0.750 = 75\% \]$

$\[\frac{7}{8} = 0.875 = 87.5\% \]$

$\[\frac{8}{8} = 1.000 = 100\% \]$

$\[\frac{9}{8} = 1.125 = 112.5\% \]$

$\[\frac{1}{{10}} = 0.10 = 10\% \]$

$\[\frac{2}{{10}} = 0.20 = 20\% \]$

$\[\frac{3}{{10}} = 0.30 = 30\% \]$

$\[\frac{4}{{10}} = 0.40 = 40\% \]$

$\[\frac{5}{{10}} = 0.50 = 50\% \]$

$\[\frac{6}{{10}} = 0.60 = 60\% \]$

$\[\frac{7}{{10}} = 0.70 = 70\% \]$

$\[ \frac{8}{{10}} = 0.80 = 80\% \]$

$\[\frac{9}{{10}} = 0.90 = 90\% \]$

$\[\frac{10}{{10}} = 1.00 = 100\% \]$


For those that you don't have memorized rest do the following:
To change a fraction to a decimal divide the numerator by the denominator.
For example if you wanted to change two sevenths to a fraction it would look like:
$\[\begin{array}{l} \frac{2}{7} \\ \\ \\ 7\left){\vphantom{1{2.00}}}\right.\!\!\!\!\overline{\,\,\,\vphantom 1{{2.00}}} \\ \\ \\ 7\mathop{\left){\vphantom{1{2.0000}}}\right.\!\!\!\!\overline{\,\,\,\vphantom 1{{2.0000}}}}\limits^{\displaystyle\hfill\,\,\, {0.\bar 2\bar 8\bar 5\bar 7}} \\ \end{array}\]$


To change a decimal to a fraction use the place value of the fraction to cheange it to a fraction.
To change a decimal to a percentage move the decimal two places to the right.

For example:

$\[0.2857 = 28.57\% \]$


To change a percentage to a decimal move the decimal point two places to the left.
To change a fraction to a percentage put the number over one hundered and simplify the fraction. Here are some student explanations of how to do this.
